Welcome to the Qiao Lab at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). We operate at the vibrant interface of chemical biology, immunology, and microbiology.
Our research is dedicated to decoding the molecular conversations between the gut microbiota and the host immune system. Specifically, we develop cutting-edge chemical tools and analytical platforms to identify, track, and characterize microbiota-derived peptidoglycan fragments (PGNs), which are molecular players dictating host health and disease.
Our ultimate goal is to translate these fundamental discoveries into targeted microbiome-based therapeutics to combat inflammatory and infectious diseases.
Our latest research on intracellular PGN modifications is now online at PNAS!
Dr. Li Lanxin and Dr. Liang Yaquan are robbed in PhD gown at convocation 2026! Congrats!
Welcome new FYP and URECA students joining the lab this semester!
We are always looking for passionate, creative, and highly motivated researchers to join our interdisciplinary team at the interface of chemical biology, immunology, and microbiome research.
If you are interested in joining us, we highly encourage and support outstanding candidates in applying for competitive institutional and national fellowships:
Interested candidates, please email Dr. Yuan Qiao at yuan.qiao@ntu.edu.sg with your CV and a brief research statement.
